The Only Wilderness Elephant Museum in Thailand!
Visit the Elephant Culture Museum at the new eco-travel elephant adventure in Chiang Mai
1 June 2024, Chiang Mai, Thailand—At Elephant EcoValley, guests of all ages can now experience elephants up-close and personal while learning about their daily care, herbal treatments, history, evolution, anatomy, heritage, and the profound relationship between these gentle giants and people at this wilderness elephant museum in Thailand.
Elephants are revered creatures at Elephant EcoValley.
Education is a vital step to help assure that elephants survive and thrive as a species. Likewise, Mankind must learn to love and respect elephants everywhere. Appreciation comes from close contact plus learning about the extraordinary abilities that make them such marvelous creatures. Hence, our museum’s Mission Statement explains our goal for everything we do here at Elephant EcoValley.
Our mission is to share the elephants’ history, their culture, their current environment, and their relationship with the human species—compassionately and scientifically. The destiny of elephants is in the hands and hearts of people. If we understand the past, the present becomes clearer, and we can create a secure future for our gentle friends.
“When our elephants first came to EcoValley, they loved it so much they didn’t want to leave!”
These words are from one of the founders of Elephant EcoValley. “Now that happens to our guests, too.” EcoValley is like a living museum where guests interact with elephants as well as view informative exhibits. In addition, it’s an ideal educational (and fun) attraction for field trips from schools and colleges.
Kids learn like adults and grandparents play like kids again.
“This was the best day ever! The elephants were cute and funny. I learned things too!” (Emma, Grade 5)
“A wonderful day I’ll never forget. The elephants are clean and I’m dirty.” (Ruth, Grandma) Guests may choose from two activity-packed, half-day options.
Stay for a full day and experience it all. Roll up herb ’n’ fruit nutritional vitamin balls and feed them to the elephants. Make paper from elephant poo, Wash the elephants under the waterfall. Hike to Upper EcoValley with your new elephant buddies. Finally, enjoy a delicious gourmet lunch while asking questions during the “Mahout Chat”.
Over 30 years of elephant experience
A family organization has cared for elephants and presented ethical venues for thousands of people to experience these magnificent mammals. Moreover, their elephant-related activities provide stable employment for the local community and many mahouts. Furthermore, Elephant EcoValley works closely with the Center of Excellence in Elephant and Wildlife Research at Chiang Mai University and the Chiang Mai Elephant Alliance to promote the welfare of elephants. Rest assured that elephants (and guests) are in good hands at Elephant EcoValley.
